N.Y.S.FAMOUS is actually an acronym of "not yet so famous". Not famous yet because this is my first time blogging and the name seems to be a little bit catchy. I have finally decided to put on virtual paper what my mind and heart speak of. I have lot of things going through my head each and every day. I used to wonder about the possibilities of impossible things.
My first 18 years had been tough for me. I have to go through a lot of problems regarding family, financially, socially but never spiritually because it is where I get my strength, my wisdom, my knowledge, my power to go on and face each day with a smile and with a thought that I could change a life one by one.
When I was still a child, around the age of ten, I often observe how other people handle their lives and compare it on how I handle mine. I have secretly been giving advices to them at the back of my mind and believing that it is what they must do. “Positive outlook in life” - it’s what others lack. They focus more on “what if it didn’t”, “what if it’s not”, “what if I fail” and what they need to look toward to, should be “it did”, “it is”, “I will succeed”. They hesitate or were just too scared to take risks, to try, to experience failure never knowing that at the end of the line they will regret what they didn’t do.
During my high school days I was often consulted by my friends and classmates for advises. Why? Because I simply give advices that I know and they know that I would be able to do. Before giving advice, you must consider 3 things; first God, second other people and lastly the “what is right”. I don’t always go for what the majority would do or what is needed rather “what is right”. To be on the right side alone is better than being with everybody with their clouded judgment and blind hearts. For when you’re on the right side then you would never be alone, for you would always have God. And God is enough to out rule those standing on the other side.
I am now at my college year and nothing has changed except the fact that I have grown more as a person, as a friend, as God’s follower and as a neighbors’ helping hand. And I know that I will still grow little by little, one step at a time, slowly but surely.
So now that you mostly know a part of me, let’s talk about why my blog is entitled “MindAndHeartSpeak”. The mind always contradicts with the heart’s decision but the truth is the heart is never the one to decide. It’s always a decision between “You have to face the consequences and be happy soon.”- Mind and “Be happy now but actually suffer later.” - Heart. When Mind decides, he looks on what would be the effect to his future. But when Heart chooses, it is always what he taught was right and would give him happiness, even for just a meantime, though in reality he is suffering inside. But who wouldn’t want to pick the right choice? Everyone wants to be happy now and forever so why not chose both? How? In everything we do, the heart would decide and the mind should agree. In every decision that you will make, you must put together the belief of the heart and that of the mind and you yourself need to believe in it. And in order to do it you must free yourself from all negativity look forward to positivity. I have read a poem and it’s actually the best poem I have read so far. The poem is entitled “The Victor” by C. W. Longenecker. Here is a copy of the poem. The reality that the heart never speaks and that the mind actually decides, the mind then should have this way of thinking,
If you think you’re beaten you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.
For out in this world you find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will:
It’s all in the state of mind.
Full many a race is lost
Ere ever a step if run;
And many a coward fails
Ere ever his work begun.
Think big, and your deeds will grow;
Think small, and you’ll fall behind;
Think that you can, and you will.
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed, you are:
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins,
Is the fellow who thinks he can.
I hope you get what I want to point out and I hope you like the poem. I wish that from now on you’ll have to take the right path. Or at least you know how to.J
About these 3 things you wrote one need to consider... I believe "what is right" is the most trivial. You don't have to know which is right from which is wrong because in the first place, you'll never know which is which until you go ahead and try to take risks. I know what you mean. It's just my opinion. I respect your opinion as well but I just thought maybe I should share my thoughts. Life is about decisions and its full of different choices. But sometimes, the wrong choices we make or even the wrong things we do end up being the best thing we have ever done to grow up.
ReplyDeleteJust go with what you feel is right. Life is about taking risks and living it to it's fullest. You can never be truly happy if you always play on the safe side
